True confession, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I am hooked on "Battle of the Blades." Each Sunday evening, I cozy up to watch hockey players transformed into figure skaters, dancing around on blades with world figure skating champions. The image of tough, rugged hockey players taking on the role of figure skaters - oil and water - but an amazing mix, inspires and entertains me at the same time. I am transfixed on the show for one reason in particular.
I like that these "guys" known as rugged hockey players are pushed way out of their comfort zones, and they are doing an amazing and entertaining job. Now in it's 6th week, these now figure skaters seem to be relishing their new roles, and I bet are growing beyond their wildest expectations.
That's what I love about the show. They took an incredible chance and are flourishing.
