Something I would never do. Well maybe if I were younger and less worried about breaking a hip or dislocating a shoulder at my age! Last weekend I flew out to Whister BC to visit with my son Paul. Paul has been living out there, and working for 16 months or so. Quite a guy my Paul is. He decided to pack up one day with two of his friends and go to Whistler to find work and a place to live. Neither he or his pals had any indication as to where they could work or live, but within a few short weeks - they were all set. And these many months later, they are all doing fine.
When I talked to Paul about coming out to visit with him, he sprung the idea on me of Bungee Jumping. Sure I said, that will be fun. After hanging up, I talked to two of his other brothers - his twin Anthony and Michael. They were in. Fast forward to the weekend, and here we were preparing for the jump - mentally at least. The more I thought about it, the more I moved away from the idea. After all, my neck already hurts and so does my shoulder - great built in "gutless" excuses. My boys bought it, or at least they said they did.
About the Bungee Jump. Who in their right mind thought up this activity? Jumping off a platform, down 130 feet or more into a raging canyon river? And charging a whole lot of money to allow people the privilege of being terrified!!
At the end of it all, it was amazing. My twin boys, Anthony and Paul made the jump. I think I was more uptight about it than they were. Michael took the common sense gene from his dad and stood on the sidelines with me.
Here is the video of Anthony making his first Bungee Jump. Paul followed him but I was so shook up I forgot to push the record button for his jump!
Wow!
Great to watch. It confirms that this is something that I have no desire to do. I stick to a roller coaster. I at least feel a bit connected.

WOW! I admire anyone who has courage to do this. I good to dream about , but if given the opportunity, I'd likely do the same as you Ken, watch from the sidelines. But it sure looks like fun. What a thrill, my heart was in my throat just watching.
